This is my final result for my T-shit design. I wanted to have something to do with peace because I am very hippy, hippy, love, love, peace, peace person!
The quote on the top by Jimi Hendrix is my favorite quote of all time, and so i encorporated Jimi and Peace to one picture, and added a quote.
I started with two photo's i got off the internet, one of a peace symbol, and the other of Jimi Hendrix. I didn't have much to do with the peace symbol except to post it onto the Hendrix photo and change my resolution. For Hendrix I started with flipping the picture horizontaly, then I played around with my Levels, Curves, Dodge and Burn tools and a bit more of the Levels to brighten and highlight. I changed the photo to a Duotone and added a brownish red colour to make it more exciting than just black and white. To end it off I just added my Type with a 32 font size and Harrington text.
First try.. I liked the colours I was able to obtain through the curves tool, though the glare in his skin was not something I was very impressed with.
Second Try..
Steps:
Levels: lightened up by bringing up the greyscale, keeping away the glare. Whitescale brought up to brighten the entire picture.
Curves: Lightly curved to bring outmore detail in the red colours that Tyson was wearing.
Colour Balance: Brought up the red and green scale to add more detail and attention to the colours of their clothes.
Clone Stamp: Covered up a part on Tysons shirt where my camera had a bit of pixel problems..
Dodge: lightened up some of the shadows in the shirt.
Burn: Darkened up his skin tone and worked a bit more on the highlights of his shirt.
Blur: surrounded him with a motion blur. It added the look of a drug trip, went along with his facial expression.
Once again added more of a brighter red colour with the colour contrast and the curves tool.
